Looking into Past trends and Seats available at Velllore and Chennai campus , stduents till 30,000 rank are likely to get admission . However all major branches like CS, EC, EE are likely to close at 9,000 in main campus and 15,000 in chennai campus. Candidates may note that the VITEEE 2014 Counselling will be held from May 19 till 22, 2014 for VITEEE 2014 Rank holders 1 to 20,000 as per the given schedule. The total number of Engineering seats at VIT Vellore was 3600 and that at VIT Chennai was 1120 under different branches in 2013. Thus, for VITEEE takers, a total of 4720 seats were available under different branches at the two campus last year.
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) were the most preferred branches at both VIT campus – VIT Vellore and VIT Chennai in 2013.

While CSE had 730 and 240 seats at Vellore and Chennai campus respectively, total number of seats for ECE branch at the two campuses was 700 and 240 respectively.
