The All India Pre Medical/ Pre Dental test is scheduled to be held on the 4th of May, 2014.
Strategy for the Test
Aakash Chaudhary, Director, Aakash Educational Services Ltd., said that the subject of Physics holds the greatest challenge for students taking the medical entrance test, especially examinations like the AIPMT. Medical aspirants need to develop a certain numerical ability to tackle the various concepts of the subject. He has advised the students to make the NCERT books as the main guidance for clearing the fundamental of theory. Besides, the students must also practice to apply their concepts and reasoning capacities within a fixed period of time. The trick is to take 50 questions from a question bank and trying to complete them in an hour. This will help students to prepare for situations where time becomes a major constraint. He also assured that around 85 percent of the questions in the AIPMT are either easy or average to attempt as many of them are based on formulas. Preparing formula charts for subjects like kinematics, electrostatics, laws of motion will be helpful for students to tackle the test.

Chaudhury has also asked students to initially deal with physical chemistry and to remember all important formulae of the subjects. Then, students should try to have a clear cut concept by solving as many multiple choice questions as they can. 50 questions must at least be attempted at one go. Students, good in mugging up can take advantage of their ability in the inorganic section of chemistry. They must take the question papers of previous years as the reference and make a note of the areas comprising of the maximum questions. Students must also make it a point to revise daily the names of important minerals and chemicals. Topics such as P block chemistry and coordination chemistry are of utmost importance. Students must also have clarity in their concepts about Organic chemistry.
As far as biology is concerned, students must emphasize more on diagrams and the syllabus of class XII. The best way to tackle biology is to adapt a learning style that best suits you. Experts say that there are also more questions from plant physiology, cell biology, ecology, bimolecular, biotechnology as compared to the exams of previous years.

Information about the Test
he test will take place in 929 centers in approximately 50 cities in India as well as abroad. As compare to 6.78 lakh students in the year 2013, over 5.79 students have registered this year.
Syllabus and Paper Pattern
There will not be any change in the pattern of the paper as well as the syllabus of AIPMT from last year. The test will consist of one paper each, having 180 questions of objective types from the subjects of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The duration of the test will be of three hours.
