Swami Rama Himalayan University invites application from eligible candidates for admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course offered by its Medical College (Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences) for the Academic year 2014-2015
Total number of seats available is 150, out of which 40percent (%) i.e. 60seats are earmarked exclusively for the permanently resident candidates of Uttarakhand
Out of these 60seats, 25seats are to be filled up by Uttarakhand Govt.
The remaining 125seats shall be filled through PMEE-2014
Pre Medical Entrance Exam PMEE 2014 Eligibility
Age: Only those candidates, whose date of birth on or before 31st Dec 1997 (Minimum 17years as on 31st Dec.,..2014) are eligible to apply
The Upper age lime shall be 25years as on 31st December.,..2014
Minimum Qualification: The candidate must have passed the 10+2, i.e. CBSE/I.S.C/Intermediate boar examination or its equivalent after a period of 12 years of study in one attempt, the last two years of such study, comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English from a recognized Board and must have obtained a minimum of 60percent (%) (for SC / ST / OBC candidates 50percent (%)) marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together and at least 50percent (%) (for SC / ST / OBC candidates 40percent (%)) marks separately in each of the above subject
The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in the PMEE-2014 but such candidates should submit the mark sheet of the qualifying examination on or before 10th June.,..2014

Application forms can also be obtained in person by depositing a demand draft or in cash a sum of Rs2000/- Or by post by sending a demand draft of Rs2100/- or in cash of NRI / PIO Candidates for US $75 drawn in favour of “Swami Rama Himalayan University” payable at State Bank of India, Jolly Grant (Bank Code No-10580), Dehradun from: Office of the Controller of Examination, Swami Rama Himalayan University, Swami Ram Nagar, P.O. Be it known that all the admissions are done purely on merit basis based on entrance examination. It is also notified that Swami Rama Himalayan University has never authorized/solicited any person or any agent for admissions in any of the courses offered by the university, hence, public is cautioned to be aware of unscrupulous persons/agents/advertisements
None of the Authorities will be responsible if students of their wards are cheated on this account
Ragging is totally banned/prohibited in the university and one found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging is liable to be punished appropriately
