English test is compulsory for ComedK UGET


The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (ComedK), Bangalore is all set to conduct Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET 2014) for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, engineering courses, commencing in 2014.
ComedK UGET 2014 is scheduled to be held on 11th May 2014.
Candidates aspiring for the Medical courses in Karnataka through ComedK UGET 2014, have to clear the English test conducted by the ComedK.

According to the ComedK officials, candidates aspiring for medical seats need to attempt English test of 60 marks. Candidates who score a minimum of 50% marks in this test would be eligible for rank.
However, the rankings will be on the basis of the marks acquired in the core subjects. The English test scores will only be applied for eligibility purposes. Moreover, candidates who have passed their Class 12th/ II PU before the year 2012 are not permitted to apply for UGET 2014.
The English test will consist of Grammar from Class 10th / SSLC syllabus, questions on a passage, Comprehension, Adjectives, Adverbs, etc. However, test pattern remains unchanged from last year.
There are 14 medical, 25 dental and 150 engineering colleges which accept ComedK UGET 2014 scores for admissions to professional courses.
