Aligarh Muslim University Medical Entrance Test will be conducted on May 27 - Aligarh Muslim University has revised the Medical Entrance Test date for 2014 academic session. As per the latest notification, AMU Medical Entrance Test will be held on May 27, 2014 in view of declaration of General Elections schedule. The general election of India will be held in nine phases, from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to constitute the 16th Lok Sabha in India.
Aligarh Muslim University offers courses in Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of dental surgery (BDS). In 2013 AMU Medical Entrance Test, 49,137 candidates applied for the entrance test at various test centres. At Aligarh, 17,906 candidates applied in which 45% were female candidates.
The decision of rescheduling of date is taken by Attat Hussain, Deputy Controller of Admission, Aligarh Muslim University, in view of declaration of General Elections schedule. The general election of India will be held from 7 April to 12 May 2014.
Earlier date of AMU Medical Entrance Test 2014 was also rescheduled to May 11 because of clash of exam date with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Medical Entrance Test which is scheduled to be held on June 1, 2014.
This decision from the Office of the Controller of Examination, Admission Section, Aligarh Muslim University will provide great relief to medical aspirants preparing for the medical entrance exam of 2014. This decision has finally ended the dilemma of 2014 Medical applicants.
